Find your future with us.Boeing’s Projects, Assets, Construction, and Engineering (PACE) organization is currently seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer, at either Entry or Associate level, to join our team in Everett, WA.This role involves working within a dynamic facilities environment that supports critical production operations. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in high, medium, and low voltage systems, with a strong focus on maintaining and upgrading aging infrastructure within manufacturing facilities.We welcome applicants from a variety of professional backgrounds who are ready to contribute to Boeing’s mission of excellence in aerospace manufacturing and innovation.Position Responsibilities: Develop basic, routine analysis using reliability tools and methods to determine the cause of asset failures and capacity reductionAssist in implementing improvements to enhance asset effectiveness, availability, and maintainabilityCreate conceptual designs, final designs, and cost estimates for mechanical aspects of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems, and groundsEnsure alignment of mechanical designs with customer requirements, building codes, and regulations, utilizing your knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materialsMaintain the accuracy of drawing archives/libraries by reviewing contractor redlinesIdentify errors and documents construction changes to comply with regulatory requirements, facility standards, and record retention requirementsSupport or manage construction projects by providing input on vendor selection, reviewing contractor proposals, and liaising with governmental agenciesPrepare and present project information to ensure compliance with construction documents, jurisdictional requirements, and project objectiveBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering1 years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)1 years of experience in mechanical systems design and analysis1 years of experience with Industrial Equipment Maintenance/ Environmental (HVAC) and Mechanical Control Systems1 years of experience using AutoCAD or a similar CAD package1 years of experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ProjectPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Professional Engineer (PE) license3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience3 years of experience with equipment engineering3 years of experience working in a facilities organization3 years of experience with and/or managing contractors, subcontractors, or suppliers3 years of experience in tracking and analyzing fluctuation of costs to ensure accurate forecasting3 years of experience in HVAC design, HVAC piping, and plumbing3 years of experience with codes including NFPA13 (Fire Protection/Sprinklers), IBC codes (Plumbing, gas, etc.), NFPA253 years of experience in Scheduling Design & Construction approximate TimetablesConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Union:This is a union-represented position.Pay & Benefits: At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
