Equipment Operator

Job Summary:

Steve Tate and Sons is seeking a dependable and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for safely operating heavy machinery and equipment to support construction, excavation, or site development projects. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery, attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and skid steers.

• Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment.

• Load, move, and grade materials as required for projects.

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

• Work efficiently with team members and supervisors to complete tasks on time.

• Report any equipment issues or unsafe conditions immediately.

• Keep work areas clean and organized.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment.

• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.

• Knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures.

• Ability to read and follow instructions and project plans.

• Physical ability to lift, carry, and work in various weather conditions.
