Job Title: Bioinformatics Machine Learning Scientist

Location: Remote

Contract: 4 months

We are seeking a Bioinformatics Machine Learning Scientist to join our Genomics team. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply advanced AI/ML techniques to large-scale transcriptomic and imaging datasets to support drug discovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and optimize AI/ML models for transcriptomic and imaging data.
• Preprocess and integrate internal and external datasets to ensure compatibility for modeling.
• Collaborate with scientists to translate complex biological questions into computational solutions.
• Analyze and interpret model outputs to provide actionable biological insights.
• Document workflows, ensuring reproducibility and transparency.
• Contribute to cross-functional, time-sensitive research projects.

Required Qualifications:

• MS in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years experience, OR PhD (0+ years).
• Strong expertise in Python, machine learning, and data science libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Familiarity with HPC or cloud computing environments.
• Domain knowledge in genomics, transcriptomics, or bioinformatics.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with OpenCV, Scikit-image, and computer vision models.
• Knowledge of multi-modal modeling (omics + imaging data).
• Strong version control skills using git.
