Requirements


Must have:

– Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder – 4+ years of development experience – Strong knowledge and experience as a Java developer – Deep understanding of Java dependencies – Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes – Knowledge/experience with automated code rewriters like spring-boot-migrator, OpenRewrite, and CAST Software, with additional familiarity with GitHub Dependabot being desirable – Comfortable using a CI/CD pipeline and making necessary changes – Experience with migrations to Openshift and EKS – Comfortable functioning as a mentor/evangelist to application teams

Responsibilities:


  • Provide counsel and advice to top management on significant Engineering matters, often requiring coordination between organizations – Design, develop, and implement a consolidated, conformed enterprise data warehouse and data lake – Manage complex processes that impact the greater organization – Design, develop, and implement methods, processes, tools, and analyses to sift through large amounts of data stored in a data warehouse or data mart to find relationships and patterns – Participate in the delivery of the definitive enterprise information environment that enables strategic decision-making capabilities across the enterprise via analytics and reporting – Focus on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines and be recognized internally as the go-to person for the most complex Information Management assignments

We are seeking an experienced Java developer to join our Software Excellence team for a 6-12 month contract with the potential for a full-time role. While remote work is initially acceptable, the full-time position will be hybrid, requiring presence in either St. Louis or Philadelphia. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and categorizing vulnerabilities in application images, recommending bulk fixation strategies, and enforcing best practices. Additionally, they will review automated code rewriter software and provide recommendations for adoption. Once solutions are in place, this engineer will work closely with software engineering teams to implement and adopt these solutions, ultimately reducing vulnerabilities and promoting best practices. The successful candidate will also develop automation and processes and provide mentoring for software engineering teams to enhance application image security. We offer competitive pay and a benefit package including 401(k), dental, and health insurance. The successful candidate can expect a pay range of $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year. The work schedule is an 8-hour day shift, and candidates must be willing to relocate to St. Louis before starting work. The work location is hybrid remote in St. Louis, MO 63121.
