We are looking for a candidate with advanced hands-on experience and knowledge of firewall technologies. The ideal individual will have expertise in deploying firewalls in IaaS environments and be well-versed in the BGP routing protocol. Strong team collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate leadership among teams of knowledgeable specialists and engineers. Experience in supporting technical teams in a leadership capacity and familiarity with Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes are also required.

Responsibilities:

In this senior engineering role, I will work closely with application teams to properly configure firewall rules and serve as a liaison between the firewall team and Information Security. My duties will include gathering system network requirements, engineering, and implementing policies for Checkpoint and Palo Alto Nextgen firewalls, and migrating legacy firewall policies to layer 7 policies. I will support and implement comprehensive security stacks related to Nextgen Firewalls, manage and apply firewall code updates, and troubleshoot issues within a firewall fleet that exceeds 100 nodes. Additionally, I will evaluate technical solutions to tackle business challenges, present technical solutions for knowledge sharing, provide project support and status reports, maintain system documentation, represent changes during CAB meetings, and collaborate with partner teams for solution development and deployment.
