Cyber Technical Lead – Annapolis Junction
Requirements
Must have:
– I require candidates to have a minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or related fields. – An active Secret clearance is mandatory. – Due to federal regulations, all candidates must be US Citizens without Dual Citizenship to another country. – The position is on-site at a government facility, requiring presence five days per week in Annapolis Junction, MD. – Candidates must reside within a commutable distance. – Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is required. – CISSP certification is strongly preferred, with additional certifications such as CISM, CISA, or CEH considered a plus. – I expect a strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF, FISMA) and best practices. – Experience leading cybersecurity teams and managing large-scale security initiatives is necessary. – Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint security solutions is important. – Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, with the ability to collaborate across technical and executive teams.
Responsibilities:
- I will have you serve as the primary cybersecurity technical lead for our contract, ensuring compliance with Homeland Security policies and directives. – I expect you to develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, frameworks, and policies to enhance the security posture of critical systems. – You will oversee security risk assessments, vulnerability management, incident response, and threat intelligence activities. – I want you to provide guidance and mentorship to our cybersecurity engineers and analysts. – You will lead security architecture reviews and technical assessments to identify and mitigate risks. – Collaboration with stakeholders will be necessary to ensure that security requirements align with business and operational needs. – I will rely on you to support continuous monitoring, security audits, and regulatory compliance efforts. – You will also participate in the on-call rotation to support security operations and incident response.
