We require an active Secret Clearance for this position. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree, although additional experience in a related field may be accepted in lieu of a degree. A minimum of 12 years of experience in the relevant area is essential, along with demonstrable experience with OpenShift. Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) are required. Due to federal regulations, only U.S. Citizens are eligible, and individuals with dual citizenship will not be considered. Furthermore, candidates need to live within a commutable distance and will participate in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs.

Responsibilities:

As the PaaS Lead, I will lead the design, development, and maintenance of our platform-as-a-service infrastructure on RHEL and OpenShift Container Platforms, which includes managing data services, storage, networking, and security components. My role also requires monitoring system performance and optimizing it by implementing corrective measures on our hybrid and private cloud platforms. I will conduct regular cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, while also developing and maintaining incident response plans and procedures. Additionally, I will create automation scripts and tools to enhance platform deployment and management tasks. I will deploy and manage machines using VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS-CAT, as well as manage host-based security systems. It’s critical that I apply DevOps methodologies and tools to support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within RHEL containers, utilize monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM NetCool, and Solarwinds, and patch systems via Red Hat Satellite Server. Understanding and managing integration with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls will also fall under my responsibilities. I will troubleshoot and resolve service interruptions, including providing on-call support, and provide hardware support for servers and workstations. My experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure will help in managing, securing, and maintaining the environment and platform infrastructure.
