Global Controller

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (HQ) or Houston, TX

A global leader in sustainable water treatment is seeking a Controller to help scale its finance function during a period of rapid growth. This role reports directly to the CFO and offers high visibility with executives, private equity sponsors, and the Board.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead global accounting and reporting with a team of 8 (including an India-based manager).
• Oversee US GAAP compliance, global consolidations, and ASC 606 revenue recognition for multi-phase capital projects.
• Drive ERP upgrades, system optimization, and automation initiatives (SAP ECC 6.0 experience a plus).
• Build and maintain strong internal controls and financial processes.
• Partner with senior leadership and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Mentor, coach, and develop the finance team.
• Travel internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/controllership experience.
• EPC, utility, or CAPEX-heavy industry background strongly preferred.
• Expertise in US GAAP, ASC 606, and global consolidation.
• Proven success leading teams and scaling finance organizations.
• Strong process improvement and system implementation experience.
