About The Role As a Business Analyst at Gainwell, you will play a vital role in supporting healthcare initiatives that impact some of the most vulnerable populations. Your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between client needs, technical teams, and project managers by defining, analyzing, and documenting business requirements. You will contribute to the planning, design, and improvement of business processes aligned with clients’ technology goals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work remotely within the Contiguous US, supporting a Colorado-based project with flexible work hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM MT. You will be instrumental in ensuring project success by verifying requirements are met, analyzing data using software tools like Excel and SQL, and providing guidance to team members. The position encourages innovative problem-solving and continuous process improvement, making it ideal for professionals passionate about healthcare technology and client service.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the healthcare industry.
- At least 1 year of experience working with Medicaid and Medicare programs.
- Knowledge of Case Management and Prior Authorization processes.
- Understanding of computer programming concepts such as configuration, development, and batch processing.
- Proficiency in analytical software including Microsoft Excel, SQL, and requirement-mapping tools such as ALM.
- Strong client communication skills with the ability to translate needs into actionable objectives.
- Excellent analytical and business process re-engineering skills.
- Effective communication skills to deliver messages to business leaders, clients, and technical teams.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the duties and activities of the business analyst team on IT projects.
- Provide mentorship and support to newer team members to foster professional growth.
- Act as a liaison between clients, project managers, and technical staff to define, document, and communicate business requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to develop detailed business specifications at project initiation.
- Analyze, plan, and recommend improvements to business processes to meet client technology objectives.
- Verify that all project requirements are fulfilled by reviewing and validating test results.
- Utilize analytical tools such as Excel and SQL to quantify the impact of proposed solutions.
- Assist in designing and documenting solutions that optimize healthcare workflows and systems.
- Support the development of project documentation, including business cases, process maps, and test plans.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and transparency.
