About The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Content Writer to join our team on a freelance, contract basis. This remote position offers flexibility and is open to global talent. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of how to create content that not only ranks well on search engines but also engages and resonates with readers. Working closely with our SEO Manager, you will produce high-quality blog articles, landing pages, and web copy tailored to various industries and client objectives. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our content aligns with SEO best practices, search intent, and brand voice, ultimately helping our clients achieve their digital marketing goals.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in writing SEO-driven content
- Proven portfolio demonstrating high-ranking content
- Familiarity with keyword placement, search intent, and SEO formatting
- Experience with SEO tools such as Surfer, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar
- Strong grammar, editing skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt tone and voice across different industries and clients
- Excellent communication skills and time management abilities
- Comfortable working in a feedback-driven environment
- Native or fluent English proficiency in both written and verbal communication
- Availability to provide online samples of reporting capabilities and a resume in PDF format
Responsibilities
- Write SEO-optimized blog posts, web copy, landing pages, and other content across diverse industries
- Follow detailed content briefs with specific keyword and formatting instructions
- Conduct research on topics based on keyword trends and client goals
- Create compelling meta titles, meta descriptions, and alt text to enhance on-page SEO
- Collaborate with the SEO Manager and creative team to ensure content aligns with strategy and quality standards
- Proofread, revise, and enhance drafts for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
- Stay updated on Google algorithm changes, SEO trends, and content marketing best practices
- Manage multiple projects efficiently while meeting deadlines
