About The Role The Financial Analyst at Beyond Yoga plays a vital role in supporting the company’s financial health and strategic decision-making processes. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Finance & Strategy, this position involves managing comprehensive reporting and financial processes to ensure accuracy and transparency. The successful candidate will develop and maintain analytics dashboards using tools like Excel and Qlik, fostering data-driven insights for stakeholders. Additionally, the role requires proactive identification of opportunities for process improvements to streamline reporting and analysis functions. Ensuring the safeguarding of company assets through robust controls and procedures is essential, alongside providing critical support during internal and external audits. The Financial Analyst will also conduct ROI analyses and scenario planning for new business opportunities, contributing to strategic growth initiatives. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with a preference for candidates based in Culver City, CA, or those willing to work remotely within Pacific Standard hours. The role is designed for a proactive, analytical professional eager to contribute to a vibrant brand committed to innovation and community engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial, business, or marketing analytics, preferably within retail or apparel sectors
- Proficiency in financial reporting, analysis, and reconciliation processes
- Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and developing controls and procedures
- Strong ability to communicate financial insights to both senior management and non-financial audiences
- Deep understanding of balance sheets and income statements
- Advanced financial modeling skills
- Expertise in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization
- Experience with SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence, SAP Fiori, Qlik, Shopify, and Hyperion Planning/Essbase is preferred
- Knowledge of supply chain finance or inventory management is a plus
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee financial reporting and operational processes to ensure data accuracy and timeliness
- Build, manage, and socialize analytics dashboards in Excel and Qlik to promote transparency and accountability
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to optimize reporting efficiency
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and insights
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses, including ROI assessments and scenario planning for new initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic planning and financial forecasting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all financial activities
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve financial analysis capabilities
