About The Role We are seeking a skilled JavaScript Developer to join our dynamic team on a remote basis. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our terminal management applications used within the shipping container logistics sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fixing bugs, implementing enhancements, and ensuring the seamless operation of our existing software infrastructure. Working within a serverless environment predominantly on AWS, the developer will utilize AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and Cognito to support scalable and efficient backend services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical applications that require a deep understanding of cloud-based solutions, full lifecycle development, and a keen eye for detail to uphold the integrity and performance of our systems.
Qualifications The candidate should possess a strong background in JavaScript development, particularly within serverless architectures on AWS. Proven experience with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and Cognito is essential. Familiarity with web application technologies such as HTML, XML, JSP, and relational databases like Oracle and SQL Server is required. Experience with Java, Groovy, and related enterprise frameworks such as Java EE, Tomcat, Maven, and Nexus will be advantageous. Additional skills in version control tools like CVS or similar, along with exposure to development methodologies such as RUP or UML, are highly desirable. Knowledge of Optical Character Recognition software and the ability to document processes for training purposes will also be considered a plus. Candidates should demonstrate a history of full lifecycle development, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to understand and modify existing codebases effectively.
