Software Engineer | Laurel, MD | Hybrid | $100,000 – $245,000 Annually

We’re hiring for a prominent national research and development organization deeply involved in addressing critical defense, security, space, and science challenges. The Role

• Apply technical expertise to develop system requirements and architectures for sophisticated sensor systems.

• Own full-stack software development for systems interfacing with innovative sensors, enabling autonomous mission operations and data visualization.

• Design and deploy algorithms on low-power hardware platforms for operation in challenging environments.

• Perform analysis of deployed system performance and conduct design reviews, bench testing, and field testing.

• Document system development, engineering analysis, and testing, and present findings to review teams.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 2+ years of relevant software development experience, including design, development, integration, and/or testing of hardware/software systems.

• Demonstrated ability to multitask across projects, work independently, and meet rapid turnaround demands.

• Willingness to work in classified environments and travel for field testing (approximately 15%).

• Ability to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by start date (U.S. citizenship required).
