Engineering Technician I
Under general supervision, assists the engineering department with asset management, development review, and other related assignments. Work also involves collection and distribution system analysis, site plan review, maintenance and operations program development, and preparing a variety of technical reports and documents. Employee must exercise initiative and independent judgment.
- Assists with the department’s Flow Monitoring Program and coordinates with Field Services to maintain collection system flow metering assets.
- Performs system wide Infiltration and Inflow analysis for County’s collection system.
- Evaluates and prioritizes collection system basins for condition inspection, maintenance, and repairs.
- Supports the implementation of ITpipes software upgrade and integration with CityWorks.
- Coordinates with Field Services to assign, monitor, and review CCTV inspections.
- Assists with asset management for both collection and distribution system infrastructure.
- Develops and maintains collection system condition assessment program utilizing ITpipes and CityWorks.
- Evaluates collection and distribution system infrastructure conditions utilizing CityWorks.
- Performs detailed site plan review for compliance with County standards.
- Performs plat and as-built plan review and coordinates with development services.
- Assists with project tracking and acceptance procedures.
- Performs other related duties as required.High School Diploma or equivalent; and two (2) years of experience in the wastewater and/or water fields including treatment, distribution, and collection systems, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
