The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all North Carolinians. Â NCDHHS manages the delivery of health and human related services for all North Carolinians, especially our most vulnerable citizens – children, elderly, disabled and low-income families. Â The Department works closely with health care professionals, community leaders and advocacy groups; local, state and federal entities; and many other stakeholders to make this happen. Â
The NC Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) is a division of the NC DHHS. Â The mission of DCDEE is to ensure the health and safety of children in early childhood education settings, to promote quality child care by implementing evidenced-based standards and to increase access to quality child care to families and children across North Carolina. Â Duties performed may include preparation of documents and reports, the use of office technology, compiling records, organizing and maintaining files, posting information, greeting, referring, assisting visitors, clients, staff, and others, mail distribution, and photocopying.

Management Preferences
- Basic knowledge of data collection and storage to compile, assimilate, and organize printed and electronic information.
- Ability to convey basic information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups, adjusting language or terminology to meet needs of the recipient(s).
