You will be asked to work with all levels of the organization, verbally and written, and understand and achieve the production planning schedules of the department. You will have an engaging and positive presence to lead the workforce in safety awareness, department improvements, and to foster a motivated team environment.You will report to the Area Manager and be located at Blairsville, PA. You will support this role 100% onsite.Key Responsibilities: Lead the assigned department and will collaborate with other professionals to ensure department and plant goals are achieved.Ensure nuclear and industrial safety culture permeates the work environment.Ensure customer requirements for product quality shipments are met.Plan and schedule operations within assigned responsibilities.Apply knowledge to production or equipment issues within department and Plant-wide to initiate proper corrective action.Determine task performance/skill requirements.Evaluate employee skill levels, focus training plans on deficiencies, and strengthen employee development.Develop employee relations with the workforce.Manage administrative processes for the area.Manage others, evaluate performance,Develop personnel to improve skillset.Qualifications: High School diploma required.Two-year or four-year college degree, preferred, or related field experience.Minimum five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a union environment.Demonstrated understanding of industrial/manufacturing practices and uncompromising safety standards.Proficient use or knowledge of SAP.Use the Microsoft Office Suite, required.We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
