Job Title Event Operations Staff Location Fort Worth TX Job Type Part Time as needed Non Exempt hourly Department Riley Center Reports To Events Management Supervisor Date 3182026 Last Revision Standard of Christian Commitment The candidate must be a professing Christ follower who possesses a strong commitment to the mission and core values of Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College possess a clear understanding of Southern Baptist heritage and culture and agrees to serve in accordance with and not contrary to the current edition of the Baptist Faith and Message Southwestern Seminary an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention is a confessional institution While the Seminary serves the larger evangelical Christian community employees must embrace the values and standards the Seminary represents as it fulfills its mission of shaping Christian leaders within our denominational context Since duties of this position require the employee to represent the Seminary to prospective and current students candidates must abide by the Seminary bylaws the Employee Handbook and the current edition of the Baptist Faith and Message as a condition of employment Job Description Job Summary The Event Operations Staff provide support on an as needed basis for event set up and preparations The role requires flexibility the ability to team lift and move tables and chairs for large scale events and assists with various aspects of event setup execution and teardown Responsibilities include arranging equipment managing event logistics and ensuring events run smoothly and efficiently Key Responsibilities Assemble and dismantle event tables chairs and other items according to the event work ordersTransport install and maintain event equipment ensure all tools and materials are properly handledAssist in the coordination of deliveries placements and movement of event related equipmentHelp manage attendee flow providing guidance and assistance to ensure a smooth and safe event experienceOperate and troubleshoot audio visual and other technical equipment as needed during the eventAddress and resolve any issues that arise during the event to ensure everything runs smoothly Ensure all safety regulations and protocols are followed including proper handling of heavy items and emergency procedures Demonstrates commitment to personal and professional growth in leadership and ministry effectivenessPerforms other related duties as assigned and specific to area of responsibility Specific Skills and Qualifications A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required Experience with events and setting up and tearing down event equipment preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectivelyStrong work ethic and initiative;
