What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Monitor security tools and analyze threats to protect enterprise systems
• Support incident response and system hardening efforts
• Collaborate at the intersection of security operations, infrastructure, and compliance
• Ensure systems are secure, resilient, and compliant with federal cybersecurity requirements
• Troubleshoot syslog feeds, log parsing, and forwarding

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Expertise with endpoint protection tools (e.g., Qualys, Palo Alto XDR, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint)
• Experience with log/data platforms (e.g., Splunk, Guardium, VMware, Cribl)
• Strong knowledge of access management and authentication technologies (e.g., F5, PIV, VLDAP)
• Public Trust clearance or higher (or ability to obtain)

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Security certifications preferred
• Experience with hybrid cloud and on-prem enterprise environments
• Familiarity with Microsoft security tools (O365 G5, MCAS, DLP)
• Preferred experience with IRS or Department of Treasury
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
