About the Role

Maleda Tech is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support the delivery of core people programs and employee experience initiatives within a fast-paced, globally distributed organization.

In this role, you will partner closely with managers, HR leaders, and cross-functional teams to provide guidance on employee matters, deliver cyclical HR programs, and help maintain consistent people practices across the workforce. You will play an important role in coaching managers, resolving employee relations issues, and supporting organizational initiatives that help teams operate effectively as the business grows and evolves.

Key Responsibilities

HR Business Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees across assigned teams.

  • Provide guidance on workplace issues, employee relations matters, and people-related decisions.

  • Develop a strong understanding of business priorities and team structures to support effective HR solutions.

  • Partner with HR leaders to deliver employee experience and people strategy initiatives.

Employee Relations & Manager Coaching

  • Advise managers on employee performance, development, and workplace concerns.

  • Support investigations and resolution of employee issues in partnership with HR specialists.

  • Assist managers in developing performance improvement plans and coaching strategies for employees.

  • Promote fair, consistent, and compliant HR practices across teams.

Talent & Performance Programs

  • Support cyclical HR initiatives including performance reviews, promotion cycles, and talent planning activities.

  • Assist with succession planning and identification of high-potential employees.

  • Partner with HR teams to implement employee listening and engagement programs.

Organizational Change & Workforce Planning

  • Support organizational design initiatives and team structure updates.

  • Assist with change management activities including communication planning and manager support.

  • Help teams navigate transitions and maintain stability during organizational changes.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Pull HR reports and analyze workforce data to support talent reviews, succession planning, and workforce insights.

  • Use Excel and reporting tools to manipulate and interpret HR data.

  • Track HR metrics and identify trends related to workforce performance and employee experience.

HR Operations & Systems

  • Maintain accurate employee data in HR systems such as Workday.

  • Partner with HR operations teams to ensure accurate documentation and system updates.

  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (e.g., compensation, recruiting, organizational design) to deliver HR programs.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 8 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, HR Business Partner, or HR Generalist roles.

(Candidates with 6–7 years of highly relevant experience may also be considered.)

  • Strong experience handling employee relations matters and advising managers on workplace issues.

  • Experience supporting cyclical HR programs such as performance reviews, promotions, or talent planning.

  • Experience working in fast-paced or high-growth environments.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Proven ability to influence and guide managers through complex people situations.

  • Ability to operate effectively in matrixed organizations and cross-functional environments.

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.

Technical Skills

  • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.

  • Experience working with HR data and workforce analytics.

  • Experience with HR systems such as Workday is highly preferred.

  • Experience using Google Workspace or similar productivity tools.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.

  • Advanced degree or HR certifications are a plus.

Key Details

  • Role: HR Business Partner

  • Employment Type: W2 Contract

  • Location: San Francisco, CA or Remote within the United States

  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (schedule overlap with Pacific Time preferred)

  • Contract Duration: March 31, 2026 – September 30, 2026

  • Compensation: Up to $67/hour (W2) depending on experience

  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
