Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and caring Behavior Technician BT to join our growing team In this role you will work one on one with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst BCBA This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about working with children and making a positive impact every day ResponsibilitiesImplement individualized behavior intervention plans BIPs developed by a BCBA Provide one on one therapy in home clinic school or community settings Collect accurate data on client progress Assist clients in developing communication social daily living and coping skills Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment Collaborate with supervisors families and team members Participate in ongoing training and team meetings Preferred ExperienceWe strongly encourage applicants with experience in the following roles to apply Special Needs Teacher Special Education Teacher Paraprofessional Teacher or Teacher Assistant Daycare Worker or Childcare Provider ABA Therapist or Registered Behavior Technician RBT Direct Support Professional DSP Youth Counselor Early Intervention Specialist Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder ASD developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is highly valued QualificationsHigh school diploma required Bachelors degree in Psychology Education Social Work or related field preferred Experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain patient professional and compassionate Reliable transportation if required for travel Ability to pass background check RBT certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire
