Brentwood School inspires every student to Think critically and creatively Act ethically Shape a future with meaning BRENTWOOD SCHOOL Middle School Science Teacher Brentwood School a vibrant and diverse K 12 independent school is looking for a full time Middle School Science Teacher beginning in August 2026 We are seeking individuals from independent public private or charter schools with prior experience in and a passion for teaching middle school students A minimum of a college bachelors degree is required The responsibilities of this position include Middle School Science including Physical Life & Earth disciplinesCo plan lessons with a teaching partner Set up hands on labs and maintain safety in the classroomGrade assignments in a timely mannerUtilize digital technologies such as Google Suite Schoology Blackbaud Vernier technologies Pocket Lab devices etcCommunicate with students and parents as necessaryIncorporate educational technology throughout instruction and courseworkServe as a Middle School student advisorPerform supervisory duties during the school day and at school eventsEngage and support students of varied identities lifestyles and beliefsCreate an environment that fosters open discussion with the freedom to express varied points of viewPerform additional duties and participate in the life of the school by advising a club chaperoning events and attending student activities including a handful of weekend events like commencement ceremonies and admissions open houseEngage in professional and personal development with a consistent commitment to growthParticipate and initiate opportunities that demonstrate ones growth knowledge and skills In addition a candidate should possess the following personal qualities Strong collaboration skills A demonstrated commitment to professional development A sense of humor warmth of personality and energy Flexibility An interest in and openness to professional growth and development Commitment to fairness and to fostering community While being vaccinated for COVID 19 is not required it is strongly recommended COMPENSATION Brentwood Schools diverse and talented faculty ranges widely in experience level from those new to teaching to veterans who are experts in their respective disciplines with 30 years of experience Our salary range of 82000 to 135000 includes all levels of experience Salaries are determined based on years of experience education full or part time status and number of months worked per school year Salary ranges do not include benefits ie 403b retirement matching paid lunch and various other benefits of being a member of the Brentwood School community For more information about our school please visit our website at wwwbwscampuscom Apply online
