Support Technician, Budget
Job Description: Additional Referendum monies AvailableJob Summary Provides administrative support work in assisting district administrators in planning, coordinating, monitoring, and facilitating administrative actions and processes.Additional Duties required for this position:

Maintains School Board-wide position control and budget transactions records.

Establishes and maintains report, record, file, and information systems in compliance with School Board and Budget Office policies and procedures.

Reviews documents and files for completion and accuracy and routes to proper sources.

Responds to inquiries and interprets and explains School Board budget practices and procedures.

Gathers and analyzes budget information and develops complex spreadsheets.

Reviews and verifies employee time reports and leave requests and prepares payrolls and maintains leave records.

Assists schools and departments with preparing and balancing spring and fall budgets. Meets with and advises school and district administrators on budget development.

Reviews and processes set ups; additions and deletions of positions; and set ups for payments for personnel working outside of their normal contract.

Assembles fiscal information for use in budget preparation.

Monitors expenditures and makes recommendations for meeting budget targets.

Reviews cost coding for purchase requisitions and district expenditures.

Answers inquiries for schools and/or departments and provides resolution for SAP issues, budget transfers, purchase requisitions, PCFs, FTEs, and year end closing.

Assigns and creates cost centers, fund numbers, and fund applications. Load budget data for debt and internal funds.
Essential Functions 1. Researches and compiles data, and prepares reports and correspondence.2. Organizes and tracks the status of legislation, application or case record processing, responding to complaints, and/or resolving work related problems.3. Recommends, coordinates, and implements administrative practices and procedures to facilitate work processes and accomplish unit activities.4. Interprets laws, rules, regulations, policies, for the purpose of answering inquiries, resolving complaints, or to resolve work related problems.5. Prepares correspondence relating to administrative activities for the purpose of presenting information, or resolving complaints or work related problems.6. Maintains administrative records and files.7. Attends meetings to provide or clarify information, facilitate processes, or resolve problems.8. Performs other duties as assigned.Probation: Six (6) monthsQualifications Open requirements: Four (4) year combination of education, training, and experience in administrative work or related area.Promotional requirements: NALicensing: Depending upon assignment, a valid Florida Driver’s License may be required prior to appointment and must be maintained during employment in this class.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
