About The Role At Uber, we reimagine the way the world moves for the better. Our Public Policy and Communications team plays a critical role in telling that story-working with policymakers, partners, and communities to shape policies that expand mobility and delivery opportunities across the United States.

We’re excited to launch a pilot internship program designed for curious, thoughtful students interested in the intersection of policy, technology, and storytelling.

As a Public Policy Intern, you’ll support meaningful work that helps strengthen Uber’s relationships with policymakers and partners while gaining hands-on experience in government affairs and policy engagement. Throughout the summer, you’ll contribute to real projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and gain exposure to the fast-moving world of federal public policy.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with the Federal Affairs team and external partners to identify opportunities for collaboration and engagement
  • Assist in coordinating events, meetings, and logistics related to federal policy initiatives
  • Support planning for strategic policy engagement opportunities that advance Uber’s federal policy priorities
  • Research and track federal policy developments related to key issues such as women’s safety, autonomous vehicles, and emerging mobility technology
  • Help prepare materials for policy engagement, including stakeholder briefings, presentations, event collateral, and simple digital content
  • Attend select meetings and events alongside members of the Public Policy team to gain exposure to policy discussions and advocacy efforts

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Communications, Psychology, Political Science, or a related field
  • Must have at least one semester or quarter remaining after completing the internship
  • Availability to participate in an in-person 12-week internship beginning June 2026
  • Coachability and openness to feedback, with a commitment to learning and growth

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in public policy, government affairs, or policy advocacy
  • Ability to analyze information and synthesize complex topics clearly
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable collaborating across teams and building relationships
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to contribute in a dynamic environment
