Brentwood School inspires every student to Think critically and creatively Act ethically Shape a future with meaning BRENTWOOD SCHOOL Executive Director of College Counseling Brentwood School a vibrant and diverse K12 independent school is seeking a full time Executive Director of College Counseling starting July 1 2026 This is a year round exempt position reporting to the Head of School The Executive Director will provide visionary leadership for the College Counseling Office CCO strengthen institutional relationships with colleges and universities and ensure that Brentwood students are exceptionally well positioned in an evolving admissions landscape It is expected that a successful candidate would Hiring training and evaluating college counselorsLead the strategic vision and growth of the College Counseling Office implementing innovativemission aligned practices that differentiate Brentwood students in the college admissions processTravel to build and sustain strong relationships with college and university admissions officerswith particular focus on key decision makersSpeak at conferencesSit on advisory boardsParticipate in working groups on university and college admissions practicesAdvise a small group of studentsPresents admissions outcomes to the board or leadershipHandles highly involved or influential parentsDevelop compelling strategies and materials that clearly articulate Brentwoods academic program and make a predictive case for students future success in collegeIdentify and analyze trends in college admissions and collaborate with the CCO team to adaptcounseling strategies accordinglyServe as a resource mentor and thought partner to members of the College Counseling Office tosupport their professional growth and effectivenessOversee the collection analysis and strategic use of student and alumni data includingundergraduate and post graduate outcomesDevelop customized institution specific data metrics to inform counseling practices andstrengthen school to college partnershipsPartner with the Communications Admissions and Advancement Offices to create marketingmaterials and outreach strategies that promote Brentwood to colleges and universitiesMaintain and enhance digital platforms including website content and social media to engagefamilies and college representativesSupport and participate in CCO programming and events for students families alumni andcollege representativesIn addition a candidate should possess the following personal qualities Strong leadership collaboration skills and cross cultural competencyDeep knowledge of college admissions trends and best practicesStrategic thinking and data fluencyExceptional written and verbal communication skillsProfessional integrity sound judgment and discretionWarmth approachability collegiality and energyFlexibility and a willingness to receive feedbackAn interest in ongoing professional growth and developmentWhile being vaccinated for COVID 19 is not required it is strongly recommended COMPENSATION Brentwood Schools diverse and talented faculty ranges widely in experience level from those new to teaching to veterans who are experts in their respective disciplines with 30 years of experience Our salary range of 180000 to 210000 includes all levels of experience Salaries are determined based on years of experience education full or part time status and number of months worked per school year Salary ranges do not include benefits ie 403b retirement matching paid lunchtime free breakfast and lunch free parking subsidy toward medical dental vision lifeAD&D plans and generous time off The pay range is an estimate and is not guaranteed If hired your actual base salary will be determined by your education experience and schedule For more information about our school please visit our website wwwbwscampuscom
