Your Opportunity: Chewy is looking for an Art Director to join our brand/creative team and work side-by-side with passionate pet lovers! The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving creative direction, developing multi-channel campaigns, and ensuring consistent storytelling across all assets. This role requires strong conceptual thinking, leadership, and the ability to implement high-quality visual work while maintaining brand consistency and evolving creative strategies.What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and manage multi-channel creative campaigns in partnership with cross-functional teams, ensuring strategic alignment with marketing goals.
  • Lead conceptual design direction and the development and execution of compelling, brand-forward creative assets with a video-first approach.
  • Ideate and concept video storytelling, including scripting, storyboarding, and guiding visual development to match the emotional and structural arc of the content
  • Ensure brand consistency across all channels while evolving visual storytelling to meet growing business needs.
  • Provide creative direction for photography and video shoots, ensuring visually engaging content that aligns with Chewy’s brand identity.
  • Partner with collaborators, including Creative Directors, marketing teams, and leadership, to develop innovative creative strategies.
  • Work with a team of designers and collaborate with writers, content strategists, and production teams to implement high-quality work efficiently.
  • Analyze performance data and campaign insights to optimize creative strategies and influence future design decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with Copywriters, Producers, and Studio teams to ensure creative alignment across all touchpoints

What You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience designing for an agency or brand, with a strong portfolio showcasing multi-channel creative campaigns.
  • Expertise in art direction, branding, visual storytelling, and digital content creation across various platforms.
  • Strong typography, layout, and design skills, with a deep understanding of brand identity and marketing strategy.
  • Ability to problem-solve creatively, troubleshoot design challenges, and provide strategic solutions.
  • Experience leading photo and video production, with an eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other industry-standard design tools.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to mentor designers and collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to internalize Chewy’s brand voice and creative guidelines while pushing the creative envelope in a strategic way.
