Overview: A Boar’s Head Data Engineer III is a key part of the Enterprise Applications team and is responsible for developing and delivering innovative solutions aligning with the organization’s goals. The role focuses on maintaining scalable, reliable, consistent, and repeatable systems that efficiently provide data for company-wide analytics and operations. A Data Engineer III must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.
Job Description: Essential Skills:

Application Proficiency & Data Modeling:

Expertise in Oracle and Apache Kafka is required

Coding & Technical Writing:

Proficiency in Java is required.

Proficiency with one or more additional programming languages (preferably SQL or Python) is required,

Ability to clearly document technical processes, instructions, and project reports

Technical Testing & Troubleshooting:

Demonstrated skills in testing software or hardware systems for errors or issues and effectively diagnosing and resolving these problems is required.
Desired Skills:

Experience with data integration of Anaplan, specifically demonstrated ability to support QA technical testing and troubleshoot Anaplan data issues

Expertise in these applications is desired

Industry knowledge of any aspect of Supply Chain Planning is a plus
Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a tech-related field such as computer science or software engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in a role equivalent to Data Engineer.
- Data Science: Familiarity with data streaming, wrangling, modeling, and analytics.
- Oracle: Oracle EBS/dB — Working knowledge of Oracle dB, Oracle ERP and SQL required
- Data Quality/Observability: Experience in data quality, data observability, data governance, data integrity, data analytics and validation.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Requires full-time onsite work in an office environment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- This is primarily a first shift position but adjustments to shift start/end times may be required depending on future production support schedules.
- Availability of on-call during non-business hours is required.
- After-hours and weekend work is intermittently required for system troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades.
