Vice President of Finance

Swoon is seeking a strategic and results-driven VP of Finance to lead our financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function and drive forecasting, budgeting, and financial strategy across the organization. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial insights, supporting growth initiatives, and maintaining a strong financial foundation for the company.

The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, is highly analytical, and passionate about leveraging financial data to guide strategic decisions. This role will:

•Lead the FP&A function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning

•Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that support business growth and profitability

•Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

•Provide actionable insights through variance analysis, trend identification, and scenario modeling

•Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting tools

•Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls

•Collaborate with department leaders to align financial goals with operational objectives

•Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial partners

•Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA preferred

•5 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including FP&A and strategic planning

•Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial modeling, and forecasting best practices

•Experience in the staffing industry strongly preferred

•Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills

•Ability to work onsite in Chicago Monday through Wednesday
