Director of Human Resources

We are currently seeking a Corporate Director of Human Resources to lead the HR function for the company. Position is office based at our Corporate Office located in Scripps Ranch.The Corporate Director of HR will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resources (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organizations mission and talent strategy.We are a fast-growing; privately held hotel management company based in San Diego, CA with 24 select-service properties in California and one in Colorado. We offer a wide variety of quality select-service hotels under various brands including Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Best Western, Wyndham branded hotels.Responsibilities and Duties: Supervises human resources staff, including overseeing the daily workflow of the departmentCollaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention
Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and location employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain complianceHandles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policyCoordinates professional development, training and certification activities as needed
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluationsPerform all other tasks as assignedQualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field requiredMust have at least five years of human resources managementStrong supervisory, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBenefits/Perks
