Chief Strategy Officer (CSO)Position Overview

The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for defining, developing, and executing the company’s long-term strategic vision. The CSO works closely with the CEO, board members, and senior leadership to identify growth opportunities, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure the company maintains a strong competitive position in evolving markets.

This role focuses on corporate strategy, market expansion, partnerships, innovation initiatives, and enterprise transformation to support sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the company’s long-term strategic plan aligned with corporate goals
  • Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to define market positioning, growth priorities, and competitive strategy
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis, industry research, and competitive intelligence to guide strategic decisions
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including new markets, partnerships, investments, and acquisitions
  • Oversee corporate development activities such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, and strategic alliances
  • Drive enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and ensure cross-functional alignment across departments
  • Develop business cases, financial models, and strategic frameworks to support major investment decisions
  • Present strategic insights and recommendations to the board of directors and senior executives
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact the organization
  • Lead strategic transformation and innovation programs to strengthen the company’s long-term competitiveness

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 12–15 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, investment banking, or executive leadership roles
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, market expansion, and corporate development
  • Experience working with executive leadership and board-level stakeholders
  • Strong financial modeling and business analysis capabilities
  • Experience in high-growth, technology, fintech, or global organizations preferred
