BRIEF DESCRIPTION This position works in a crew environment to assist the Road Department with the maintenance of County roads utilizing a variety of equipment and meets all of the requirements for Truck DriverLaborer The Light Equipment Operator possesses knowledge of sub base compaction base construction and surface construction of un surfaced surfaced and chip sealed roads Is proficient in the use of compaction equipment to reach desired compaction levels Has the ability to dig grade and place drainage structures in right of way entrances or under roads to prevent or relieve flooding and washouts and the ability to place cattle guards and footers as directed Performs daily maintenance check lists of equipment including DOT walk around pre trip and operation inspections Employees must be able to work independently The Road Manager Carlsbad Road Manager Artesia and Sandpoint Manager all have equal authority to direct your work schedule at any time Employee may be required to work irregular hours attend job related meetings and perform all other related duties as required and assigned TO VIEW FULL JOB DESCRIPTION PLEASE CLICK LINK BELOW LIGHT EQUIPMENT OPERATOR ARTESIA NF JOB SPEC 072025 STARTING HIRING SALARY 2100 2318 per hour DOE
