SALARY RANGE: $32,000 – $35,200

Position Duties/Responsibilities

In This Position, The Coordinator Of Compliance/Student-Athlete Services Will

  • This position is responsible for ensuring coaches, staff, student-athletes and athletics department affiliates are compliant with NCAA, Southland Conference and University rules and regulations. This position primarily oversees compliance education, monitoring, and implementation of Bylaws 13, 14, 15 and 17
  • Working knowledge of NCAA bylaws.
  • Commitment to academic integrity and compliance with University, Conference and -NCAA regulations.
  • Positive interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with faculty, staff and students from diverse educational and social backgrounds.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Strong listening skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain competency with respect to knowledge of NCAA rules, ensure compliance with NCAA rules, and report to the Assoc.AD any knowledge of violation of NCAA, Southland Conference and/or institutional rules. Understand that actions that violate NCAA rules will result in disciplinary or corrective actions as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Assoc. AD/Business Ops.

Qualifications Required/Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree. Master’s preferred
  • Experience working in an NCAA Intercollegiate environment or in an educational service-oriented role
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Fundamental knowledge and understanding of NCAA Division I rules, practices, policies, philosophy and procedures
  • Proficient in excel, word, power point and willingness to learn new software and platforms
