Senior Systems Engineer
Requirements
Must have:
– Active TS/SCI Clearance is mandatory – Over 10 years of experience in Systems Engineering, specifically in support of Army/DoD C5ISR initiatives – Strong proficiency in Jira and Confluence, with a solid background in Agile and DevOps practices – In-depth knowledge of tactical data communications and messaging formats (VMF, USMTF) – Bachelors degree in a technical discipline – Familiarity with the Army Targeting Process and operations of Army units in a digital environment
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical leader within a DevOps framework, utilizing Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, and addressing technical debt to maintain alignment with PM objectives – Identify and troubleshoot integration challenges between various Army systems, designing and implementing solutions to facilitate smooth data exchange across the tactical network – Analyze and refine the Targeting Process to explore opportunities for automation that expedite the sensor-to-shooter kill chain – Engage with Army units to perform operational assessments, converting Soldier feedback into strategic technical recommendations for the PM – Oversee the testing process of vendor software, ensuring delivery of high-quality, functional code that meets established requirements – Assist in Cyber Security evaluations, with a focus on the Risk Management Framework (RMF) – Act as the subject matter expert regarding Army messaging protocols, particularly VMF and USMTF – Direct architecture efforts to guarantee compatibility of existing systems with new technologies and Next-Generation Combat platforms

Note that this role requires on-site presence at Aberdeen Proving Grounds five days a week, and we offer competitive compensation ranging from $150,000 to $180,000 annually.
