Panel Test Technician – Industrial Controls
OverviewEgan Company is seeking candidates for an Electrical Test Technician position located in Champlin MN The Electrical Test Technician is responsible for testing and quality control of electrical control panels Power components PLCs VFDs MCCs etc Instrumentation Control Panels and any other manufactured assemblies Shifts are Monday through Friday 600 am 230 pm Overtime may be required based on business needs You will be working in an air conditioned warehouse ResponsibilitiesEnsure adherence with various engineering and manufacturing documents including bills of materials panel layout drawings electrical schematics that are used to build and wire electrical control panels Perform continuity and dielectric testing on control panels using multimeters ohmmeters or custom testing equipment Follow company andor customer testing procedures for final product checkout Document notes delays and issues during the testing process Assist in 5S activities as required Identify and assist in Continuous Process Improvement measures Adhere to all safety and security guidelines applicable to the shop and warehouse Maintain professionalism with co workers customers sub contractors vendors project managers office and field staff Work in a team environment to accomplish tasks at hand Other duties as assigned by Management QualificationsElectrical or electronics training education or equivalent experience building electrical control panels Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematicsdiagrams Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits electrical components Knowledge of UL508a requirements preferred Proficiency in using hand and power tools associated with the job in a safe manner Highly motivated and ability to multi task Ability to work independently with limited supervision Attention to detail organization and time management skills Ability to work well with others Working ConditionsFrequently bends twists squats and lifts with arms
