Help us transform our workforce of the future, today.The Bank Accounting team falls within the Corporate Accounting team. We provide the accounting for Zions Bancorporation’s affiliate companies, month end close and consolidation of company general ledgers, recording of daily cash transactions, monthly income and expense accruals, reconciliations and research of nightly process clearing general ledgers, and accounting support for the banks business units. We also work with the banks internal and external auditors to provide supporting documentation as requested. Our focus is on standardizing and automating as many processes as possible to free up time for critical thinking activities.We are currently seeking an Accountant as part of our Bank Accounting department. There are plenty of growth opportunities within the enterprise.Accountant duties include, but are not limited to:Research and clear daily general ledger posting rejects for assigned affiliatesMonitor General Ledger Entries e-mail in-box and post entries in OracleMonitor Oracle Workflow and follow-up on unposted entriesMonitor Oracle Inquiry e-mail in-boxPrepare and post daily FRB Excess reclass entriesPrepare daily Telecheck settlementPost third party property management entriesPrepare and post monthly entries, as assignedCross-train to provide back-up and support for other group membersOther duties as assigned Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s accounting, finance or a related degree and some experience in accounting, financial analysis, budgets, balance sheets, income statements, etc. or other directly related experienceA combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.Knowledge of GAAP preferredExperience with Microsoft Office, and with Oracle EBS a plus,Self-Starter with a positive and team player attitude, who can succeed individually and part of a team, works independently, adopts well to changes, and can work under tight deadlines.Easy access to the City Creek UTA TRAX station, as well as various electric vehicle charging stations in most City Creek area garages;An employee-only fitness center and bike storage;An employee lounge, kitchen, micro market, game tables, couches and TVs;Private mothers’ rooms and lockers; andAccess to downtown shopping, dining, arts and entertainment.
