Job Title Press Supervisor Plant 6 Are you ready to take the reins and drive success As a key leader at Belmark youll direct and motivate our Lead Operators Operators and Operator Trainees to deliver top tier product quality ensure on time shipments and maximize throughput all aligned with our Mission Purpose and Principles Youll oversee our plate making pre press and press areas ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently If youre passionate about leading teams and optimizing operations we want you on our team Schedule 2A shift schedule is from 400pm 400amAll shifts work a 3 day on 4 day off rotation NO swing shiftWhat will I do in this role Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role and to nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirementsResponsible for supervising production areas including Platemaking Pre press and PressContinuously develop and maintain working knowledge of equipment in order to provide troubleshooting assistance as necessaryTake ownership of the process flow and work with management and other supervisors to identify areas for continuous improvement through a data based approach and root cause methodologyTrack key performance indicators anticipating and correcting trends that would compromise achievement of productivity targetsCoordinate daily production needs with the purchasing scheduling and press departmentsBuild people capability through management and improvement of training programs and process SOPs Provide regular timely and accurate feedback to employees on performance and prepare them for follow on roles in the organizationEnsure proper staffing for straight time achievement of production needs Identify coverage for vacations absences etc to maintain productivity goalsIdentify maintenance issues and safety concerns and coordinate efforts to correct those deficienciesMaintain a clean and organized work environment ensure all employees comply with Belmarks good manufacturing practices and enforce SQF requirementsParticipate in process improvement teams to continuously improve plant performance systems and metricsEnsure tote ink and bulk tanks are filled and emptied according to standard operating proceduresEnter daily ink usage on VOC reportEnsure proper operation of the solvent still communicate issues to maintenance and production managerProperly dispose of waste ink spent solvents and other designated waste according to hazardous waste handling guidelinesGreat benefits for the entire family Health Vision Dental plan with Wellness discountFREE Near site Health ClinicsFlexible Spending AccountLife Insurance401k and Profit Sharing Plan with 6 matchPaid vacation AND personal timePaid holidays beginning day oneEmployee Assistance ProgramPet InsuranceMinimum Qualifications Requires a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience preferably in a manufacturing environmentEducation that is generally acquired through two 2 years of college with completion of an associates degree is preferred however relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of degreeMust understand people and be able to communicate effectively with themKnowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English languageDemonstrated ability to function successfully and make effective decisions in a fast paced changing work environmentAbility to manage multiple competing demands build proficiency in multiple systems and equipment sets and exercise good judgment with incomplete informationAbility to resolve problems handle conflict provide accurate performance evaluations and demonstrate Belmark principles to employeesAbility to continuously improve metrics for a given shift and develop well functioning teamsAbility to communicate effectively in verbal and written communicationsManage employee developmentaltraining programs prepare SOPs and define best practices to standardize departmentsDemonstrated computer proficiency Microsoft suiteMust have excellent interpersonal skillsAbility to work on a 12 hour rotation Some overtime will be requiredAbility to lift up to 25 pounds or less 30 of work timeAbility to see clearly at 20 inches or less or 20 feet or more; identify and distinguish colors; to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focusMay be required to lift up to 50 poundsNon sales job postings are limited to residents in the states of Wisconsin and Arizona only Belmark is an Equal Opportunity Employer
