Business Process & Program Analyst

Job Description Finance and Records Department (FRD) employees receive, account for, and safeguard the Church’s sacred funds donated in obedience to God’s commandments as well as create, manage, and safeguard the membership and organizational records of the Church.

The Business Process & Program Analyst focuses on end-to-end process management and continuous improvement across global operations. This position is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing business processes and solutions to ensure efficiency, scalability, and compliance. The analyst will also identify opportunities for improvement, define and document system life cycles, and manage projects that align with global business strategies. This position requires the ability to work across multiple teams, integrating people, processes, and technology to deliver inspired solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage core business processes from design through implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive process analysis to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for automation or optimization.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including workflows, life cycle definitions, and governance standards.
  • Lead cross-functional workshops to gather business requirements, functional requirements, and validate process designs.
  • Design and implement process controls to ensure compliance with financial, membership, and operational standards.
  • Work with product managers and development teams in a partnership to create and complete roadmap tasks.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to translate process requirements into system solutions.
  • Facilitate related projects, including scope, timelines, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop and maintain system, process, and project documentation.
  • Deliver training and communication plans to ensure adoption of new processes.
  • Prepare reports and communicate project status to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with financial or membership standards, local regulations, and privacy laws.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications Required:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Advanced degree or certifications in Business Process Management (BPM), Lean Six Sigma, or Project Management preferred.
  • Additional certifications in finance, accounting, information technology, or related disciplines are a plus.

Work Experience

  • 7 years of professional experience in process analysis, product management, or program management.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership or process management role.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex business processes and cross-functional projects.

Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency in process modeling tools and methodologies (e.g., BPMN, Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Skilled in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Coordinating with multiple teams to ensure smooth communication and timely sharing of information.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
