Job Title: Jr. Java Engineer

Location: Dania Beach, FL (Mostly Remote — 2 Days/Month Onsite Required, 2 Days/Week during onboarding period)

Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder Only

Target Pay Rate: $95–110K

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Jr. Java Integration Engineer to join a fast-paced engineering team focused on delivering high-performance RESTful services. This role is ideal for candidates with 2 years of experience working in an enterprise environment who are ready to grow into a deeper backend-focused engineering role, with hands-on development and integration responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain synchronous RESTful APIs and services in Java.
  • Implement unit tests and ensure thorough test coverage for all services.
  • Participate in performance testing and validation of backend services.
  • Analyze and interpret functional requirements, ensuring built services meet expectations.
  • Support maintenance of existing services initially, with increasing focus on new development over time.
  • Collaborate closely with senior engineers and the Engineering Manager on architecture, design, and development.
  • Attend in-person team meetings onsite twice per month in Dania Beach, FL.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2 years of Java development experience, preferably in an enterprise environment.
  • Proficiency in developing synchronous integration patterns and RESTful services.
  • Strong experience with unit testing and automated test coverage tools.
  • Familiarity with service architecture , API security , and integration design patterns.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform preferred; AWS or Azure also considered).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high delivery expectations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
