  • Prepare, review, and approve engineering plans, specifications, and reports in accordance with professional engineering standards
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and oversight to engineering staff, consultants, and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry standards and safety requirements
  • Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to support design and construction efforts
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including budget tracking, scheduling, and client communications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, project managers, and regulatory agencies, to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
  • Stamp, sign, and take professional responsibility for engineering documents as required by law
  • Research new technologies, methods, and materials to recommend improvements and enhance project outcomes
  • Additional duties as assigned

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction practices, and applicable codes and regulations
  • Proficiency with relevant design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCad, Civil 3D, Revit, MATLAB, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • High level of computer proficiency, including proficiency in all Microsoft Office products

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional engineering experience, with proven project management capabilities

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field). Master’s degree preferred
  • Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in CA; ability to obtain additional state licensure as needed

Wage: Salary Range: $110 to $120 per hour

Work Schedule: Varies based on business need, schedule may include weekends, and travel for this position will be approximately 60%.
