- Prepare, review, and approve engineering plans, specifications, and reports in accordance with professional engineering standards
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and oversight to engineering staff, consultants, and contractors
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry standards and safety requirements
- Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to support design and construction efforts
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including budget tracking, scheduling, and client communications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, project managers, and regulatory agencies, to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
- Stamp, sign, and take professional responsibility for engineering documents as required by law
- Research new technologies, methods, and materials to recommend improvements and enhance project outcomes
- Additional duties as assigned
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction practices, and applicable codes and regulations
- Proficiency with relevant design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCad, Civil 3D, Revit, MATLAB, etc.)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver projects on time and within budget
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- High level of computer proficiency, including proficiency in all Microsoft Office products
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of professional engineering experience, with proven project management capabilities
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field). Master’s degree preferred
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in CA; ability to obtain additional state licensure as needed
Wage: Salary Range: $110 to $120 per hour
Work Schedule: Varies based on business need, schedule may include weekends, and travel for this position will be approximately 60%.
