We’re working with Austin’s largest locally owned Managed Service Provider on this exciting opportunity. This isn’t your typical “ticket-grinder” role; it is a high-impact position focused on technical auditing and security alignment for a diverse client portfolio.

As an IT Alignment Analyst, you will bridge the gap between technical operations and cybersecurity frameworks. You will leverage your expertise in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Networking to ensure client environments are hardened against modern threats while adhering to NIST and SOC 2 standards.

The Role

  • Conduct deep-dive technical discovery of client IT infrastructure, including on-site inspections and direct system reviews across the Austin metro area.
  • Evaluate complex environments against rigorous security frameworks such as NIST, CMMC, and SOC 2 to identify systemic risks and gaps.
  • Document intricate IT configurations and “Best Practice” deviations within a central Knowledge Base to drive long-term infrastructure health.
  • Produce high-level technical roadmaps and remediation reports that translate complex vulnerabilities into actionable business recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to implement security improvements, focusing on cloud security, backups, and endpoint protection.

What You’ll Need

  • Proven technical experience managing or auditing Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace (G Suite) environments.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls) and business-critical IT solutions like Veeam, SentinelOne, or similar backup and EDR tools.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST CSF, CMMC, or SOC 2 is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional documentation skills and the ability to work outside of a traditional helpdesk ticket queue with a focus on analytical deliverables.
  • Must be based in the Austin, TX metro area for periodic on-site client assessments.
