Title: Materials Testing Technician
Position Type: 1 year contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need
Job Location: Rocky Hill, CT
Shift:1st Shift

Compensation: $22/HRResponsibilities
The candidate will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:

• Dispense adhesives and bond parts
• Test bond strength and physical properties; evaluate, collect, and record data
• Organize and perform experiments using established procedures, summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook
• Enter data into computer systems, including creating charts and tables to communicate project results and details
• Operate laboratory equipment and measuring devices
• Follow safety protocols and lab best practices while working with chemicals and lab equipment (with guidance as needed)
• Follow quality protocols according to SOPs and ISO 17025:2017 (with guidance as needed)
• Stand for extended periods while working in the laboratory and lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• Fast learner, team player, with strong note-taking and communication skills
• Attention to detail and safety consciousness, with the ability to perform repetitive hand movements
• Mechanical aptitude preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and report writing
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and project management skills
• Experience handling adhesives and other chemicals is a plus
