This role is responsible for administering, scoring, and analyzing a variety of academic assessments, including placement testing using Accuplacer, professional certification testing, GED/HSED exams, and testing accommodations for students with disabilities.The Testing Coordinator also supports recruitment and orientation efforts to promote GED/HSED and placement testing opportunities, Madison College programs, and related services. Key duties include processing results, maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and ensuring secure, compliant, and accessible testing environments.The position also involves proctoring, scheduling, troubleshooting technical issues, enforcing security protocols, and coordinating accommodations to ensure equitable assessment experiences. Overall, this role supports institutional goals by upholding testing integrity, meeting compliance standards, and guiding students toward success through accurate assessment and resource connection.This is a part-time position, scheduled for 20 hours per week, year-round (52 weeks). Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Please note that this position requires one evening shift weekly (approximately 4-8pm).   • Proctors test sessions by actively monitoring students, enforcing testing rules and addressing any issues that arise to ensure a secure and distraction-free environment.
  • Assists with coordination of testing schedules by engaging in active communication with institutional stakeholders to align testing availability, staffing and services with institutional needs.
  • Ensures standardized test administration by overseeing and conducting assessments, setting up test environments and maintaining adherence to testing procedures to uphold integrity and compliance.
  • Provides technical support for testing platforms by setting up hardware and software, troubleshooting issues and ensuring accessibility for all test-takers.
  • Safeguards test security and student records by enforcing testing standards, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with institutional and external regulations.
  • Manages testing records and reporting by maintaining accurate documentation of test administrations, scores and accommodations to support institutional and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitates accommodations for students with disabilities by ensuring equitable access to testing environments and compliance with accommodation guidelines.
  • Supports student success by informing new and continuing students and staff about educational programs, services and available resources.
  • Contributes to an inclusive, equitable and supportive environment where everyone at the institution feels valued, respected and empowered to reach their full potential.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and security protocols.

  • Skill in troubleshooting and providing technical support for computer-based testing platforms.

  • Skill in managing and maintaining secure records of test administrations, scores and accommodations.

  • Ability to engage with stakeholders to coordinate testing and assist with scheduling.

  • Ability to enforce testing standards and security procedures while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Ability to assess and respond to student needs by providing clear information about testing, accommodations and institutional resources.

  • Skill in engaging positively with all populations and communities, contributing to a safe and inclusive learning and work environment.

  • Skill in effectively and respectfully communicating with others.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience

  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience

  • Preferred candidates will have at least one (1) year of experience in test administration.
