General Summary The BY YOUR SIDE Behavior Technician directs ABA Therapy to children ages 2 21 years oldin the center and in home environments The Behavior Technician will implement skill acquisition programs and behavior management protocols underthe supervision ofthe Clinical Supervisor The Behavior Technician will also be responsible for collecting data on target behaviors during sessions The Behavior Technician is also responsible for providing comprehensive ABA Therapy for BY YOUR SIDE clients underthe direction of the Clinical Supervisor The Behavior Technician is responsible for defining problems collecting data establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions can read analyze and respond to inquiries or complaintsfrom clientsfamilies and effectively presentsinformationto the BCBAs This positions hours of work and days vary based on the needs of clientsbusiness Evening weekend workandor overtime may something meaningful Apply today Essential Functions Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for enforcing standards for ABA Therapy to maintain BY YOUR SIDEs high quality of care for clients and families Provide direct 11 or small group therapy to children and young adults with autism consistent with the treatment plan under the direction of the Clinical SupervisorMaintain targeted caseload hours of therapy per weekMaintain confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelinesImplement treatment plans across multiple domains including communication social behavior learner readiness skills self care replacement behavior and behavior reduction as instructed by the Clinical SupervisorPassionately motivates clients by adapting activities to their preferencesCalmly respond intentionally and in alignment with the client Behavior Intervention Plan to challenging behaviorAssist with assessments under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor when they have assured proper training and administration of such assessment tools ie VBMAPP ABLLSAssist with maintaining order and safety among the clients in the therapy environmentAssist other personnel with related tasks as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in completion of their work activities and for the enhancement of daily operations of the therapy center Provide session coverage for clients One Time Move as neededParticipate in staff meetings team meetings and collaborate with a team of multi disciplinary therapists to coordinate communicate relevant information and implement high quality therapyParticipate in training provided to increase professional knowledge by attending in person through video conferencing andor watching the recorded trainingsCompletion of all assignments related to staff meetings and training eg ABA meetings by due date including make up assignmentsCompletion of daily activitiesroutines within the center ie openingclosing procedures cleaning organization and creation of session materials assisting other therapists etcCollect and maintain accurate records of client performance through data collection and insurance notes on an online data collection platform Ensure billing for all appointments through online platform session conversion within a specified periodImplementation of treatment plans across multiple environments including centers homes and communities Travel to the home and community may be requiredToilet training and diaper changing may be requiredTo perform thisjob successfully an individualmust be able to performeach essential EquivalentBachelors degree andor enrolled in psychology communication disorders education or relatedfield preferredHigh interest and willingness to learn about understand and work with children diagnosed withAutism Spectrum DisorderEagerness to learn about Applied Behavior Analysis and grow as a Behavior TechnicianAbility to maintain quality safety and infection control standardsKnowledge of sensory and behavioral strategies preferredAbility to communicate proactively timely effectively and professionally with a variety of stakeholder types clients parents Operations Team members Behavior poundsPhysical ability to move quickly kneel bend squat crouch twist walk sit stand and reach for prolonged periods of timeMust be able to respond quickly which may include transitioning from a seated position to standing in case of client elopement or emergencyMust be able to assess and navigate factors that may impact safety and securityThis positions hours of work and days vary based on the
