Research Coordinator II
Description Research Coordinator II Georgia State University School of Public Health Mark Chaffin Centers for Healthy Development The Mark Chaffin Centers for Healthy Development, School of Public Health is seeking a sponsor-funded Research Coordinator II to help expand the current research efforts and contributions to the field of alcohol and sexual assault prevention.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To Lead Completion of Project Tasks:
- The Research Coordinator will supervise current projects and coordinate all team members and tasks to keep workflow on track.
- This could include project planning, participant recruitment and retention, data collection, participant compensation, communication with participants and team members, working with students, and ordering supplies and equipment.
- The Research Coordinator will also be expected to perform advanced support and train lower-level staff and students in research protocols, performing literature reviews, analyzing scientific data, writing scientific papers, or performing.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Project Meetings
- The Research Coordinator is expected to lead project meetings to review project tasks and timelines.
- They will also lead the coordination of students, faculty, and staff schedules, prepare agendas, keep minutes during meetings, and distribute and follow up on the next steps to the research team.
- The Research Coordinator should help the team consider inefficiencies, propose improvements, and develop solutions when problems arise.
Manage Project-Related Reports And Paperwork
- The Research Coordinator will lead the administrative management of grants, including managing project reports and paperwork (e.g., contracts).
- It is the Research Coordinator’s responsibility to keep the research team aware of deadlines.
- The Research Coordinator will also be expected to train lower-level staff and students in administrative tasks.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in assigned research area; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Requirements
- Prior research experience.
