Mahalo for your interest in this role Please see the full position description below and click Start Your Application when ready For more information about DAWSON please visit dawsonohanacom Summary This position supports NGB J5J J55 and the Joint Staff by developing strategies campaign plans and policies The location for this work is on site at NGB TARC Arlington VA Job Description Provide support the strategic and special plans branch reports assessments documents analysis general research meeting coordination and supportProvide real time support to NGB J5 J led or NGB J5 J attended working groups supporting the NG Joint Staff Army National Guard ARNG Air National Guard ANG Chiefs Action Group and the Judge Advocate JAFacilitate and coordinate working group meetings draft and distribute meeting invitations to attendees as determined by the Government identify and document attendee names collaborate with Government personnel to develop meeting agendas and timelines for each sessionGather topics from all relevant parties develop and distribute electronic read ahead materials and briefings prior to each working group meetingObserve and take notes during meetings ensuring accurate tracking of the issues concerns requests for information RFIs tasks and responsibilitiesProvide meeting minutes in the form of an Executive Summary summarizing the topics discussed actions assigned and ongoing after action activitiesEstablish and sustain relationships with interagency and NGO partners to inform the National Guards preparedness contingency response and disaster response planningMaintain current partner POCs and a database summarizing all meetings and interactionsAnalyze guidance documents senior leader meetings and working groups relevant to the Joint Strategic Planning System JSPSDeliver a written summary report not to exceed two 2 pages identifying documented differences between prior and current versions of the analyzed documents and describing their potential operational or planning impacts on the National GuardSupport the development of NGB strategic communications and congressional reportsCollect and compile comments and data from stakeholders NGB J5 divisions NGB Staff State entities and any other required stakeholdersUtilize a Comment Resolution Matrix CRM to track resolve and recommend adjudication measures for discrepanciesDesign and implement surveys or other reporting formats to gather additional inputProvide analysis of policy statements speeches and publications made by Government officials to assess their impact on the National Guards interests within the JSPSAnalyze policy statements speeches and strategic publications made verbally or in writing by Government officials Conduct ongoing research and analysis of strategic documents addressing emergent topics and security challenges produced by the DoD and other relevant government entitiesDevelop an information paper analyzing how updates to these strategic documents or the introduction of new documents impact the National GuardSupport the NGB J5 J by scheduling coordinating and participating in J5 J related meetings reviews and workshops to ensure situational awareness and actionable outcomesConduct meetings via Microsoft TEAMs or other electronic meansProvide support for NGB J5 J attended events approximately 90 events annuallySupport ETMS2 tasks per NGB J5 JDevelop required documents including electronic Staff Summary Sheets eSSS ETMS2 instructions and other task related productsExecute ETMS2 actions in accordance with government decisions when government personnel are unable to complete themCreate new tasks in ETMS2 as required by the governmentProvide a monthly status report and trip report for authorized travelResearch and analyze information to prepare the NGB J5 J for CNGBVCNGB participation in Three Star and Four Star Reviews Deputies Management Action Group OPSDEPS Russia Strategic Initiatives etcProvide analysis of discussion topics including outlining National Guard equities and highlighting potential talking points for senior leadersaddress domestic and international security related current events across the competition continuumAssist with evaluating State ISPs by participating in NGB sponsored wargaming and related workshops or events providing analysis and recommendations for refinement to NGB J5 and State plannersRequired Qualifications JPC5 to 10 years experience as a Joint Strategic Analyst or similarJoint Staff IdentifierBachelors degree at minimumTS clearanceKnowledge of NG plans and operations Contingent upon contract award DAWSON is an Equal OpportunityAffirmative ActionVEVRAA federal contractor All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race color religion gender national origin disability status protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law DAWSON offers a best in class benefits program including medical dental and vision insurance;
