We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to lead daily operations at a high-volume food manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring operational excellence, safety, and product quality while driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all plant operations, including production, quality, maintenance, and logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and certifications (e.g., USDA, AIB, SQF).
  • Drive operational efficiency through process optimization, automation, and lean practices.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team of supervisors and staff across multiple departments.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (supply chain, R&D, sales) to meet customer and market demands.
  • Manage the plant budget, monitor KPIs (OEE, yield, cycle times), and provide performance reports to senior leadership.
  • Champion innovation by leveraging modern manufacturing systems and technology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 7–10 years of leadership experience in food manufacturing, preferably in bakery, pastry, frozen, or packaged goods.
  • Strong knowledge of automated production lines, quality assurance, and food safety compliance.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and manage organizational change.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a hands-on leadership style.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance efficiency, quality, and innovation.
