People who want to do a great job want to work for a company that values that dedication We do Snider Fleet Solutions is one of the largest commercial tire dealers and retread service providers in the nation We are recognized as an industry leader for providing innovative outsourcing alternatives to both single truck customers and large multi location trucking fleets In addition to in shop services we also offer 247 emergency roadside assistance Youll be working with people who put everything theyve got into their jobs Because they love what they do and they love being on a winning team We go the extra mile in everything we do We Offer Paid Time Off PTO personal holiday sick and vacation Career advancement opportunities 401k retirement planningProfit sharingMedical Dental VisionEmployer Paid LifeEmployer Paid Short Term DisabilityAnd MoreWe are currently seeking a team member who believes in the extra mile philosophy to fulfill our Short Haul Box Truck Delivery Driver role The Short Haul Box Truck Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering and picking up Snider customer tires and wheels while operating a Box Truck with a capacity under 26000 pounds The Delivery Driver will pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules set by the warehouse supervisor Safe driving attention to detail effective communication and thoroughness are required in order to ensure customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and safely What Youll Do on a Typical Day Operate a 26 foot box truck and deliver commercial tireswheels class 5 through 8 as well as other items to customers Must maintain a safe and clean driving record Responsible for executing client delivery schedules proper loading and unloading and obtaining signed paperwork in order to provide Snider branch etc Responsible for the cleanliness maintenance and equipment inventory levels on box truck as well as on personAssist supervisor with planning routes to ensure that deliveries are completed in the most efficient mannerReview orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete the changes are correct and the customer is satisfiedEffectively communicate any traffic violations accidents breakdowns or delays in route to management and to customersAccurately identify and enter casing information into electronic device using current Michelin mobile app MRT Mobile Solutions as well as properly barcode clients tires and wheels and provide an email or printed copy of tire pick up upon completion of work orderWhen available assist with the scrap out analysis process for Snider customers Interact with Snider Fleet Solutions customers and personnel on a daily basis Support warehouseservice personnel with pulling stacking mounting and dismounting various sized commercial tires utilizing the commercial mountdismount machine T45A Tire IronSpoon Bar andor the Golden Tool Conduct pre and post trip inspections to ensure that all mechanical systems are operating properlyFollow all safety rules wear proper PPE and demonstrate safety conscious mindsetDemonstrate excellent attendance show up to work on time and in the correct uniformAdheres to all policies procedures and values of Snider Fleet SolutionsWork environment will be inside of a Snider box truck and a warehouse environment This will be at a commercial truck service center The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and the noise level is usually moderateOur Ideal Candidate Education or Experience High School Diploma or GED Must be at least 21 years old Must have a clean driving record Previous experience in similar role or industry is a plus Certificates and Licenses Valid Class C Drivers License or states equivalent and must be insurable to drive by company standardsDOT Medical Certification Forklift certification obtained after employment Commercial TIA certification preferredSkills and Abilities Ability to pass background check and drug screen Ability to work nights and weekends; overnight travel may be required Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to use road maps smart phones and GPS devices Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraintsMust be able to work in a results oriented fast paced environment Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionReliable and dependable with self initiativeSafety conscious at all times Must have strong organizational and time management skills as well as close attention to detailYou bring the drive Well provide the training Apply today to join our winning team
