Area Manager- Tovey, IL and Surrounding Areas

The Area Manager Locate will be responsible for performing the following dutiesOversight of work load distributionCustomer relationsInteraction with CorporateIT and purchasing along with homeowners and the general publicOversight of disciplinary actionInspections of vehicles and equipmentInventory orderingMentor Supervisors for performance improvementAssist in damage resolution when necessaryInterpret all reports ie PDR audits and productionAssist in difficult locate jobs when necessaryMaintain force to load requirementsPerformance Reviews for staffQUALIFICATIONS Must be at least eighteen years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentClean background check for access to restricted andor controlled areasValid driver license with acceptable driving recordAbility to pass random drug screens and to remain drug freeComputer literateAbility to locateAbility to effectively perform a PDR or damage investigationAbility to interact with all involved the public customers contractors utility representatives and all those under their directionExcellent communication skills at all levelsREQUIREMENTS Experienced in effective leadership in the locating industryExcellent communications skills oral and writtenComprehensive understanding of underground utility construction and placement requiredSuccessfully complete company provided Locate Technician training program and pass all required testingRequires long hours when necessary May require weekend and holiday work when necessarySome travel maybe required including overnight stays and out of town assignments and or trainingMust have above average computer skillsThree to five years experience
