Matrix Providers is hiring a Physician Extenders NPPA Family Medicine to join our team of talented professionals who provide healthcare services to our US military and their families at Evans Army Community Hospital located at Fort Carson CO Employment Status Full timeCompensation This is an hourly position paid bi weeklySchedule This position has the following shifts Mon Fri 0730 1630 Hours are subject to change and may include nights weekends or home call if future need arises The Contract employee shall work no more than 40 hours per week without prior authorization from the supervisor or department chiefBenefits Competitive financial package with a comprehensive insurance package including health dental vision and life coverageAccrued Paid Time Off PTOPaid Holidays Outlined in Handbook401k PlanMinimum Qualifications Degree Masters degree in nursingEducation Graduate from an academic program within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing ACEN or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education CCNECertification Certified in the specialty required by the TO as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center ANCC American Academy of Nurse Practitioners AANP or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate for example National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses American Nurses Association National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric Gynecologic and Neonatal SpecialtiesExperience As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service specific credentialing instructionsLicensure Current full active and unrestricted license as a Registered NurseCore Duties Provide a full range of outcome based nurse practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF eg supervise and provide general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine acute and chronic conditions involving any and all organ systems; provide immunizations; diagnose treat and counsel patients as indicatedTechnically direct and teach other staff provide evidenced based educational lectures and participate in in service training to staff membersDiagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions chronic illnesses or minor trauma within accepted protocols clinical practice guidelines Nurse Practice Acts andor in consultation with a physicianPromote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physical positive health behaviors and self care through both formal and individual education and counselingCommunicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plansactions for teachingeducation to benefit the patientfamily and organizationRecognize conditions that require isolation and ensure universal precautions are used in all patient encountersAttend staff meetings to provide case discussion continuing education and continuous quality improvement and safetyRecognize conditions that require isolation and ensure universal precautions are used in all patient encountersCommunicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plansactions for teachingeducation to benefit the patientfamily and organizationTechnically direct and teach other staff provide evidenced based educational lectures and participate in in service training to staff membersPromote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals positive health behaviors and self care through both formal and individual education and counselingIND123
