Graphics Prepress Technician – Digital Print

Do you enjoy working in the cross media and packaging industry Belmark is seeking a Web to Print Graphics Technician to manage the flow and processing of graphic orders and artwork from initial developmental stages into our established commercial process Work directly with the Customer Sales Team Account Service Team and Print Manufacturing Team to ensure the proper format appearance color and layout of text and images are correctly set before printing Schedule 1st or 2nd Shift1st Shift Monday Friday600 AM 200 PM2nd Shift Monday ThursdayFlexibility in a 10 hour shift 1200 pm 800 pm 1100 am 900 pm or 200 pm 1200 amPay 2025 2225 per hour100 shift differential for 2nd ShiftA pre employment drug test is required if offered the position Position Overview Evaluate and electronically assemble customer supplied files based on Web to Print specifications and tolerancesReview and understand technical drawings and label instructions to verify files are being set up accuratelyConsult with customers on packaging designs to improve the overall appearance and printability of the customers design based on Web to Print print specifications and tolerances This may include preproduction meetings with the customer external vendors or internal production personnelUtilize proper workflows for digital file output andor plating files when applicableUtilize visual and electronic verification methods to ensure accuracy when proofingGenerate review and send accurate PDF and Contract ProofsMaintain quality workmanship within department standardsMust learn and exhibit comprehensive knowledge of BELMARKs graphic press and finishing capabilities for all Web to Print product typesServe as point of contact for graphic related questions by providing information directly to account services customers designers and sales representatives regarding BELMARKs graphic capabilities printing and converting capabilities specifications and tolerancesContinually promote and educate customers on the advantages of Web to Print ServicesDocument discussions and requests regarding projectsMay do presentations and training for internal and external customersPerform color management tasks when necessaryPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor or managerGreat Benefits for the entire family Health Dental plan with Wellness discountFREE On site Health ClinicFlexible Spending AccountCompany funded Life Insurance Policy401k and Profit Sharing Plan with 6 matchPaid vacation AND personal timePaid holidays beginning day oneEmployee Assistance ProgramFree On site Fitness CenterPosition Requirements Any combination equivalent to graduation from high schoolPreferable to have two 2 years of related printing or graphics experienceKnowledge of consumer products packaging production design and print production preferredKnowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English languageAbility to read comprehend and follow detailed written and oral instructionsAbility to add subtract multiply and divide whole numbers decimals and fractionsAbility to type accuratelyAbility to operate a MacintoshPC computer and understand appropriate design applications Illustrator Photoshop etcAbility to operate a variety of standard office equipmentAbility to meet deadlines Will be required to work some overtimeAbility to give receive and analyze informationMust have a customer service mindset be passionate about servicing the client the Web to Print Production Team and other BELMARK employees and departmentsMust have excellent interpersonal skillsMust be self directed self motivated and require minimal supervisionMust have strong organizational skills with an acute attention for detailMust be able to communicate and answer questions in a professional and friendly mannerMust be able to resolve questions handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressureMay require some travelEligibility for internal transfers is based on completion of required trainings overall performance attendance record qualifications and tenure in your current position Non sales job postings are limited to residents in the states of Wisconsin and Arizona only Belmark is an Equal Opportunity Employer
