Lead Engineering Test Technician

Position Summary
The Electronics technician is a technical role that supports R&D and Sustaining design initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, troubleshooting, testing and maintaining electronic subassemblies. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, have a strong technical background and a commitment to safety.
Duties
Troubleshoots, diagnoses, disassembles, assembles, repairs and tests electronic assemblies and subassemblies including circuit cards and electrical controls to the component level
Executes test protocols, maintains detailed test data/logs and communicates all test results.
Assists in analyzing test data for conformance to acceptance criteria
Design, Develop, Build, Qualify and Maintain functional test fixtures when needed
Fabricates, repairs, improves designs and constructs mechanical and electro mechanical equipment
Operates and programs Data Acquisition Systems and associated software
Maintains Electronics lab in a safe, clean and orderly manner at all times
Orders necessary parts for product development

Education Degree
Required Experience
Two-year Associate Degree or equivalent, apprenticeship or comparable specialized study in mechanical and/or electrical engineering, beyond high school level.
Ability to understand detailed/complex electronic drawings/schematics, BOMs, identification of mechanical/electronic components and work with all types of test and measurement instrumentation.
Must have working knowledge of basic test equipment (Multimeters, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Network Analyzers, Frequency Counters, RF Generators and Spectrum Analyzers)
Works from prints, sketches, written and verbal instructions and is capable of interpreting specifications.
Demonstrated proficiency in reading and reviewing wiring/electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
Preferred Experience
Skilled in planning, organizing, and controlling assigned activities and group activities
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as an integral part of a team and independently as necessary.
Proficient in computer use and applications and familiarity with Data Acquisition systems
Self motivated
Excellent team player
Excellent communication skills
Excellent problem solving skills
10 years experience in electrical and mechanical assemblies.
Skills
Pay range for this opportunity is $32.77 – $43.02. This position is eligible for [BONUS PARTICIPATION] OR a [INSERT COMMISSION RATE RANGE, IF APPLICABLE] commission.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
